Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab Newsletter
Issue #2 March 2025
Welcome back to the Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab!
As 2025 unfolds, we want to thank you for your continued support and participation. Last year, we launched with the vision of co-creating solutions for ageing well, and thanks to you, that vision is coming to life.
Research Opportunity: Exploring AI Technology for Care Planning
The Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab (CCLL), in collaboration with the University of Newcastle, is conducting a study to explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can assist care professionals in developing care plans for older adults living at home. We are seeking expressions of interest from:
Occupational therapists working with older adults
Professionals involved in care planning for older adults
What’s involved?
Participants will attend a 75-minute in-person session to evaluate and provide feedback on innovative AI tools designed to enhance care planning. Participants will receive a $160 gift card as a token of appreciation for their time.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of technologies that simplify care planning, improve care quality, and better support the independence of older adults.

✉️ To express your interest or ask questions, email us at ccll@newcastle.edu.au or via phone at 0486 028 601.
Together, we can create a future where technology empowers care and independence.
CCLL Joins the European Network of Living Labs
We’re excited to announce that the Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab has been accepted to join the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL)! This connection opens new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovative projects that benefit our local community.
Strategic Doing is all about working together to tackle complex challenges. We recently introduced this approach at the CCLHD Research & Innovation Symposium, where we explored how we can better collaborate to build a more socially connected community.
At its core, Strategic Doing is about action—bringing together people with different skills, insights, and experiences to make real progress. Big issues, like supporting healthy ageing, can’t be solved by one group alone. It takes teamwork, fresh ideas, and a shared commitment to change.
Inspired by the power of diverse perspectives to create change? We'd love you to join us! The Central Coast Health & Wellbeing Living Lab has exciting collaborative projects launching soon.
