How to Collaborate
with the Living Lab

Become a Challenge Lead

Have a problem or opportunity related to our Challenge themes? We'll work with you to:

  • Define the problem or opportunity.

  • Engage co-designers (older people, carers, and other stakeholders).

  • Explore the problem space.

  • Identify feasible, community-centric solutions.

  • Connect with solution developers.

  • Support pilot testing implementation.

Bring Your Innovative Ideas to Life

Have a groundbreaking idea or project aligned with one of our Challenge themes? We’ll help you:

  • Access a diverse range of experts.

  • Implement user-centric design.

  • Connect with co-designers, partners, and funding opportunities.

Contribute to Solution Development

Share your experience and insights to help develop new ideas or solutions addressing our Challenge Themes. Register for our Co-Discovery workshops, which provide a platform for everyone supporting positive ageing at home to share their insights and ideas.

These workshops offer an excellent opportunity to:

  • Network with potential partners.

  • Showcase your work in the ageing well at home space.

Support Living Lab Activities

For researchers, contribute to the Living Lab's initiatives by conducting research alongside our Challenge areas. Capture, evaluate, and communicate the processes and outcomes from our collaborative efforts. By partnering with the Living Lab, your research will:

  • Gain increased visibility and exposure through our communication channels and events.

  • Help attract potential collaborators and funders.

Considering research related to ageing well? Talk to us early before submitting a grant application.

  • Co-Discovery Workshops

Share your challenges and aspirations with us as we work together to gain a deep understanding of what it means to age well at home and define the key areas where we can create meaningful change.

  • User Experience Trials

Try out new devices and technologies that assist in things like social connection, mobility or monitoring your health.

  • Feedback Sessions

Provide your valuable feedback on how proposed solutions fit into your daily life and how they can be improved.

Core challenges our living lab
will tackle

  • Enabling Lifelong Health

How might we proactively enhance lifelong health and wellbeing that empowers individuals and promotes a holistic, preventative approach to health.

  • Support at Home

How might we integrate traditional in-person support with innovative technology-based solutions to assist older people in maintaining their independence for as long as possible?

  • Community Connection

How might we enhance community connection to reduce social isolation and loneliness among older people?

If you're interested in collaborating but are unsure about how to contribute, or if you have an idea or opportunity and you're not sure where it fits, please reach out to our team for a chat.
